For Van Gogh’s Birthday

March 30 is Vincent van Gogh's birthday. Since tomorrow is Easter Sunday, I decided to post these pictures done in van Gogh style, although, I don’t think he ever painted a cartoon rabbit.

Mother Nature

"It's not nice to fool Mother Nature." That was the punchline of a margarine commercial back in the 1970s.

Sometimes I wonder how Mother Nature would respond to the mess we have made. And then I look at the evidence and I see the answer is in front of us.

Trying Out Collage Style

Someone created a new style in StarryAI for making collage-type images. My results were mixed as far as quality, but intriguing enough that I will use it again.

Spring Equinox

My prompt was Spring Equinox, but results varied depending on which style I used. The unpredictability of StarryAI makes it more fun.

This final image wasn’t quite ready for all eyes to view, so I opened it in Picsart and added stars. I didn’t get to choose where they would be, but I was able to move the sliders and select a suitable combination.

Imitating Vincent

The database appears to draw from adequate examples of Van Gogh's work, but sometimes it gets stuck on the starry night effect.

The Time Changed

This morning we changed over to daylight savings time. I think one of these years, the government will decide to stop making this change. It’s disruptive.

I don’t like being on standard time because darkness falls too early, but the change can be hard on our bodies’ rhythms.

Anyway, I made some clock-related images. I did not use the word blue in my prompts, but it certainly predominates.

Imitating Lascaux

A user created a cave painting style for StarryAI. I played with it for a few minutes and enjoyed it. I’ll probably try it again.
